Summer Library Program (SLP)

Join us this summer at your local library! We are celebrating the “Unearth a Story” theme through our activity book, summer performances, craft activities, book displays and more! Our summer programming has something for all ages, but it is especially geared towards school-age children, tweens and teens.

Trend in Children’s Graphic Novels

Many children’s book series have been adapted into graphic novels! For kids who are reluctant readers, these books may be the bridge they need to read more text-heavy books.

Tax Forms

A limited selection of free federal and state tax forms and publications are offered at all MCPL locations. Typically, they do not arrive until the end of January (at the earliest) and are kept through April. Other tax forms may be printed for 10¢ per page.

A variety of artworks are on display — and available for checkout! They include original creations and prints from Wisconsin artists, as well as from artists elsewhere in the world.

Apply for a Library Card

Apply for an account at the Marathon County Public Library! A library card grants you access to the physical collections of all MCPL locations and other public libraries in the Wisconsin Valley Library Service, plus access to Wisconsin’s Digital Library, Interlibrary Loan, online resources, library computers and more!

Marathon County Land Records / Maps (GIS)

Access Marathon County’s geographic information system (GIS) to view a wide array of information about county properties, including aerial photographs, topography, soil types, natural features and shoreland, land ownership information, property lines and descriptions (similar to what you’ll find in plat books), school and voting district boundaries, property tax rates and assessed values, zoning and more.
